Job Title: Educational Psychologist
Contract: Permanent, 41 weeks, Term Time only
Salary: Up to £63,840 (FTE, DOE)
Within OFG, Educational Psychologists work with schools to support the development of therapeutic environments and the implementation of Trauma Informed and Neurodiversity Affirming practice. Our models of service delivery include consultation and reflective practice to schools, and there are opportunities to contribute to service-wide development groups. Within OFG, there is a strong network of Practitioner Psychologists and staff have access to regular clinical supervision outside of line management.
About the Role
You will join our multi-disciplinary team of dedicated clinical staff providing psychological assessment for pupils within the schools, guidance for education teams, and professional development training for all staff. The role involves communicating with families/carers and specialist agencies. You’ll work alongside Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Psychotherapists, Psychologists, and Assistant Psychologists.
There is scope for this role to cover more than one school in the area, to be discussed.
Who we’re looking for?
We are looking for an Educational Psychologist with a masters or doctoral professional qualification and HCPC registration. You’ll need to be creative and passionate about improving outcomes for pupils with complex needs. The ideal candidate will be resilient and have experience working with people with complex SEN needs. You’ll need to be a good communicator with strong skills in assessment and report writing.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Provide psychological assessment and intervention for pupils within the schools
2. Offer guidance for education teams
3. Provide supervision to agreed members of the clinical team
4. Communicate with families/carers and specialist agencies
5. Engage in professional development training for all staff
