Job Title
A Senior Quantity Surveyor is sought to lead commercial activities on large Infrastructure projects for a prominent Civil Engineering Contractor with a £134million turnover. Based in Rugby, the role involves overseeing an initial Carbon Capture project in Liverpool, requiring one day of travel per week.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare internal commercial reports and other documentation as needed.
* Develop valuations and payment applications with supporting documents.
* Create Cost Reports for clients, adhering to contractual requirements.
* Manage subcontract and material procurement schedules.
* Administer subcontractor/supplier accounts.
* Negotiate final accounts.
* Undertake contract administration, including change management and register maintenance.
* Identify commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering, and change.
* Utilize costing systems.
Requirements
* Relevant industry qualification.
* General civil engineering experience.
* Commercial acumen, knowledge of standard forms of contract, and methods of measurement.
* Proficiency in NEC 3 Option A Contract experience.
* Familiarity with CEMAR.
* Computer literacy with strong Microsoft Office skills.
* Effective communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
* Experience within construction/engineering and commercial backgrounds.
Remuneration
* Salary: £65,000 - £90,000 (negotiable based on qualifications).
