We currently have a vacancy for a salaried/sessional General Practitioner to join us for 4 sessions per week on a fixed term contract until the end of March 2025, starting as soon as possible.
To be eligible for this role, you must be within two years of certificate of completion of training at the start date of employment.
Sessional rate of £10,000/session/anum.
Medical Indemnity costs covered.
4 sessions per week, days flexible to be agreed, preferably Thursday/Friday.
6 weeks annual leave (pro rata).
Good admin, management and secretarial support.
Main duties of the job
As a salaried GP, you will play a crucial role in the provision of primary healthcare services.
* Undertake surgery consultations in a variety of forms, i.e., face to face, telephone.
* Respond to medical problems presented by patients, including history taking, examinations, investigations, diagnosis, treatments, and referral.
* Effective management of long-term conditions.
* Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance.
* Checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork, and correspondence.
* Training and development of medical students.
* Maintain accurate clinical records.

The successful candidate will join our existing practice team comprising of 3 partners, 2 sessional GPs, 2 Practice Nurses, 1 Nurse Associate, 1 HCA, 1 Physician's Associate, a Practice Pharmacist, and a Pharmacy Technician. We are part of the Preston North & East Primary Care Network.

Newly Qualified GP
* To be eligible for this role, you must be within two years of certificate of completion of training at the start date of employment.
Qualifications
* Newly qualified GP (less than 2 years of certificate).
* Full registration with the General Medical Council.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Understanding of Primary Care contract.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Emis Clinical system knowledge.
