Job summary We are a 2 partner family practice based in South Ruislip, Middlesex. We are looking for a part-time Receptionist/Administrator to join our friendly team. The following hours are over 4 days: Monday 14:00-18:30, Wednesday 13:30-18:30pm, Thursday 08:00-13:30, Friday 08:00-13:30. Main duties of the job To provide cover on the front Reception desk, welcoming patients and visitors to the practice and assisting them with their queries. Ensure all are dealt with confidentially and respectfully. Answer incoming telephone calls from patients with a professional and pleasant manner. Using Practice provided tools and protocols to signpost patients to the most appropriate service or healthcare professional. Book appointments using the EMIS clinical system. Process online requests submitted by patients. Manage patients who may be verbally aggressive in a professional manner and following practice policy. Accept deliveries for the practice team, being mindful of delivery instructions/protocols (such as refrigeration requirements) Deal with blood and urine specimens safely and in line with infection control policies. Admin work away from the front desk includes, filing clinical documents into patients medical records efficiently and accurately, printing out test requests as requested by a clinician and registering patients. About us The team includes, 2 Senior Partners, 2 Practice Nurses, 1 Practice Manager, 1 Reception Manager, 6 Receptionists. Training is provided for all of the reception/admin duties which are then shared by all the receptionists. The working hours are based over 4 days Monday-Friday, no weekends required.
