Salary: €48,000 Base (Dependent on experience)

A leading dairy products company with over 90 years of excellence is expanding its portfolio to include premium ice-cream. We are seeking an ambitious and motivated Business Development Manager to join our team and drive the growth of our ice-cream brand in the Republic of Ireland.
Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Develop existing and new business in the retail, food-service, and tourism sectors, focusing on the Republic of Ireland, particularly along the Belfast-Dublin economic corridor.
2. Acquire new business and manage new and existing accounts to foster growth.
3. Act as the principal point of contact for customers, introducing them to new products and using their feedback to better understand the market.
4. Work from home and on the road with customers, with weekly online meetings and occasional in-person meetings at our HQ in Northern Ireland.
Key Duties:
1. Identify and convert leads into sales opportunities.
2. Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
3. Use influencing and negotiation skills to close deals and expand market presence.
4. Regularly communicate with customers at all organizational levels.
Candidate Requirements
Personal Attributes:
1. Passionate about food and a natural people person.
2. Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
3. Strong commercial awareness and ability to generate and convert leads.
4. Excellent customer relationship management skills.
5. Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
Experience:
1. Ideally, experience within the food industry or FMCG.
2. Existing network within food-service and/or convenience retail is advantageous.
3. Proven track record in winning sales and managing accounts.
Additional Requirements:
1. Own vehicle and a full driving licence are essential.
2. Ability to store product samples (chest freezer space required).
