Job Summary: We are currently looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer to help provide solutions to problems and issues, as well as providing maintenance and support of software and hardware for both internal and Cloud Hosted services. Reporting to the Head of IT and Security, you will be expected to develop new skills and demonstrate ongoing learning, as well as acting as a good example for the rest of the team, bringing new ideas and alternative solutions as required. Job Description: Role Overview Esteiro Business Solutions are an established company and the software authors of Gold-Vision, an innovative CRM solution. In addition, we have a growing suite of products plus a mixture of standard and bespoke web portals, web services and system integrations. The DevOps Team manage, implement and maintain our global infrastructure upon which our award-winning CRM SaaS environment and our Marketing Solution, run with the highest standard of availability. Alongside this, we also maintain UAT and Development environments as well as our own internal systems, providing internal IT support to the entire business. The ideal candidate would have at least 2 years of experience in some of the following: A scripting language, SQL maintenance, Azure services, PowerShell, IT Security, IT Infrastructure or Desktop support, Intune, maintenance of hardware, Windows operating systems, Hyper-V, TCP/IP networking, and Active Directory services. Location Initially, you will be based from our office in West Haddon, Northampton, on a full-time basis during the onboarding and training period. Following successful completion of your training, you will work on a hybrid basis with up to 2 days per week from our office, and the remaining days from home. Hours of Work Standard hours are 7 ½ per day, plus a 1-hour lunch break, starting at either 08:00 and finishing at 16:30, or starting at 09:00 and finishing at 17:30 as required. There is also a requirement for extended weekend and evening work. You should expect a minimum of one extended evening per week and one weekend per month, however this could change with demand and is kept to a minimum where possible. Out of hours work is recompensed with time off in lieu. Compensation Salary is dependent on relevant experience and qualifications. Key Responsibilities: Operation of our hosted infrastructure including day-day monitoring of environments, networks and backup. Participation in ongoing and future team projects, from planning/specification to execution and sign-off. Implementation of new technologies into existing environments. Writing of documentation that can easily be followed by others. Evaluation of technologies based upon suitability without preconception to ensure the best solution. Working with 3rd party vendors and suppliers. Work with colleagues on both test and live deployment and supporting configuration. Azure Management. Design, deployment, improvement and monitoring of Azure VM's, storage and networking, including elements of cost monitoring. Asset control and technical support of desktop and laptop PCs for around 30 colleagues. Provide Microsoft 365 support and related services. Assist the Senior Leadership Team in maintaining ISO 27001:13 security certification, including internal audits of other teams and maintaining relevant documentation. Provide customer support in the use and installation of our core products (full training would be provided for this). Person Specification A relevant degree, with at least 1 year experience within a similar position, or at least 2 years relevant employment experience. Independent right to work in the UK. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to converse with all levels of technical capability. Possesses a keen interest in developing their technical knowledge, with a willingness to learn and try. Actively researches and considers new technologies to improve systems and services. Able to effectively support maintenance of solutions within production environments. Ability to work within a team, and within multi-disciplined teams also.
