We are seeking to appoint an excellent Teacher of Mathematics who can deliver high quality learning opportunities for our students in Maths to cover on a paid on claim basis as required. The Mathematics Department is one of the strongest in the school. Academic performance at all levels is excellent and continues to set new records. The Department is housed in its own suite of 11 purpose built teaching rooms with Promethean Interactive Whiteboards available in each classroom and used extensively both in lessons and to support independent study. There is a study room which is used extensively by the Sixth From students and a staff room for the Mathematics teachers. The Mathematics block was opened in October 2019 and provides an exceptional working environment with easy access to IT facilities. Both Mathematics and Further Mathematics are offered at GCSE with exceptional outcomes and a progress score of close to 1 most years. Mathematics is increasingly very popular in the Sixth Form with about 65% of the students studying the subject. In Year 12 there are 137 students who study A Level Mathematics, 26 of whom also study A Level Further Mathematics.
