In the northeast of Scotland, my client operates and maintains a network of waste water treatment works and pumping stations serving various communities in and around Inverness. This is a 6 month contract with a likelihood of extension, based on a few sites in North Scotland (Inverness - Aberdeen mainly) and is working a 35 hour week. Full training and PPE will be provided to enable you to carry out the role. What you'll do You'll be the hero of mechanical repairs, fittings, installations, and maintenance of all wastewater plant and equipment. Using your skills, you'll tackle issues for both internal teams and external customers. You'll collaborate with the workflow team to plan and coordinate resources. Whether it's reacting to incidents or tackling planned work, you'll ensure things run like clockwork while keeping costs in check. Safety's a big deal, and you'll be the champion of it. You will be undertaking Risk Assessments to help with the selection of appropriate equipment and safe working practices. What you'll need For this role you will need to have, served a full apprenticeship, and hold an NVQ in the Mechanical industry (or equivalent experience) and you will need a driving licence. You'll be the master of all things mechanical. Working within an industrial/maintenance/operational engineering environment. Being friendly, confident, and a top communicator is key. You'll interact with both internal and external customers. You'll be confident often working on your own but also in team settings. Be comfortable turning your hand to new computer systems.
