Responsible for ensuring the practices medical equipment maintenance programme is up to date and that all equipment is safe and that stocks are maintained. Develop and follow Infection Control Policies Understand and apply legal policy that supports the identification of vulnerable and abused children and adults, being aware of statutory child/vulnerable adult health procedure and local guidance Be competent in implementing emergency procedures including anaphylaxis and CPR The practice nurse is responsible for maintaining own professional development by attending courses and study days as arranged with the Partners and Practice Manager The practice nurse will work in accordance with the NMC code of professional conduct. To work as an independent practitioner providing evidence based nursing care appropriate to the patients needs Prioritising a varied and demanding workload on a daily basis to meet deadlines.
