My client is a leading supplier of food processing equipment and systems for various sectors. They are currently in need of a Payroll Administrator to join their team in Peterborough.
ROLE: To maintain the Payroll system and ensure employees are paid accurately for various payments and to be responsible for the review and payment of employee expenses on a weekly basis
DUTIES:
* Processing and collating overtime sheets for outside engineers and field engineers, and ensure these are input accurately into the payroll system
* Processing overtime report of the Time and Attendance system, checking this and ensuring these hours are input correctly into the payroll system
* Inputting salary changes
* Processing starters and leavers on the payroll system
* Actively co-ordinate with third party payroll provider on a regular basis
* Reconciliation of payroll payments
* Administration of company pension scheme including letters to employees in respect of auto enrolment and salary sacrifice
* Reconciliation of all payroll related payments and account reconciliations
* Facilitate reconciliation and sign off process internally and liaison with external payroll service for completion
* Running ad-hoc payroll reports as and when required for either Finance or HR
* Processing payroll year end
* Processing P11Ds at the end of the tax year / assisting in implementation of payrolling of benefits in kind in line with HMRC guidelines
* Processing of employee expense claims in line with company policy and arranging their payment on a weekly basis
* AD-HOC support for other members of the finance and HR department including, but not limited to, invoice processing and cashier related tasks
* To be aware of and follow all company Health & Safety policies and procedures including feeding back any H&S information to management
* Be aware of and demonstrate the company values and behaviours
SKILLS:
* A payroll qualification or experience in payroll administration
* Basic book-keeping skills and knowledge of UK VAT procedures
* Computer literate with demonstable years experience in an accounting environment
* The ability to liaise with people at all levels is essential
* Knowledge of IRIS Payroll would be an advantage
* Ability to act with discretion essential
BENEFITS:
* Holiday: 183 hours basic entitlement - If not paid for overtime, 16 additional hours. In addition the Company gives 3 days between Christmas and New Year, and the normal 8 public holidays.
