Trial Balance Consulting have been exclusively engaged by a high performance FinTech business who, as a result of sustained growth and business acquisition, seek to recruit an experienced Reporting Accountant to join them on an interim basis, duration likely to be up to three months. The company promotes a 30 hour (4 day) working week and the role can be operated either on site or fully remotely once a robust handover has been completed. The contract will be available to applicants seeking either a PAYE or contractor based working arrangement.
There are two key brands within this group, with one being a recent acquisition. The successful candidate will lead the design, implementation, testing, and roll out of this brand's accounting architecture, which will entail the complete setup of Xero software, classes, charts of accounts, and API integrations.
Working with the established brand, the Reporting Accountant will work closely with the Head of Finance in the production of financial statements, management accounts, and in developing comprehensive cashflow, SPL, and SFP forecasts. This element of the role will closely involve the senior management team and support a transactional accounting colleague.
For this assignment, we seek applicants with extensive experience and the ability to lead complex projects, solve problems, and streamline systems for maximum efficiency. The successful candidate is likely to be a qualified individual (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), although QBE candidates with appropriate experience will also be given due consideration. Exceptional IT experience is essential, ideally with strong Xero implementation skills and the ability to quickly adapt to industry-specific tools and platforms.
