As a coordinator within the Centre for Guidelines you will play a key role in the efficient and effective organisation of the programme to enable the development of guidelines, quality standards and indicators. You will work closely with colleagues from across the Centre to plan, coordinate and monitor the progress of individual products and projects, ensuring consistency across the work programme. You will also coordinate and support a variety of activities relating to guideline, quality standard and indicator development, such as the consultation processes of the guidelines programme, collating consultation responses and maintaining an effective record of respondents.
Main duties of the job
* Acting as a contact point for internal teams and external organisations on matters relating to the guidance programmes.
* Maintaining effective, sensitive and co-operative working relationships with external stakeholders and staff members within NICE.
* Responding to written and verbal enquiries from a range of external organisations, ensuring these are handled appropriately and forwarded as necessary to the appropriate person.
* Providing advice and guidance to internal teams and external organisations on issues relating to the work of the Centre.
* Developing and maintaining databases and other records systems.
* Providing efficient and effective administrative support, including preparing correspondence and papers, collating, copying and distributing papers, managing diaries, and taking minutes.
* Providing project management support for the programme as appropriate and developing and operating systems for managing projects, recording activities and tracking progress.
* Contributing to project planning and co-ordination and liaising with team members, other staff within NICE and external organisations to ensure that deadlines are met.
* Working with team members to identify and manage risk and escalating as required.
* Checking that the relevant paperwork for projects has been received, chasing for contributions as appropriate.

Person Specification
Education/Qualifications
* Relevant first degree or equivalent level of knowledge acquired through experience and further training/development in a relevant field.
Experience
* Demonstrable experience in co-ordinating and managing multiple projects, including handling multiple ongoing priorities or tasks.
* Proven experience in creating, implementing and maintaining systems or administrative procedures. This may include IT systems, manual processes, or other methods for organising work efficiently.
* Experience of working collaboratively with a diverse range of individuals or organisations, ideally in a health-related setting.
Skills/Knowledge
* Ability to communicate clearly and adapt appropriately to different audiences, both within and outside the organisation. This includes building positive relationships and conveying information effectively through verbal, written or digital means.
* Ability to analyse complex information or large volumes of data, and present key points clearly and accurately in both verbal and written formats, tailored to the audience.
* Proficiency in using relevant software tools or packages, such as those for editing and uploading web content or managing complex data.
