THE STANWAY SCHOOL ASSISTANT IT SERVICE MANAGER Pay Range: Local Government Scale 6 Actual Salary from: £28,163 – £30,060 (Points 13-17) Start Date: ASAP The Role We are seeking an outstanding individual to work as part of the school's IT team, provide high-quality and proactive IT support to all staff and students. Working in close collaboration with, and deputising for, the school’s IT Service/Network Manager, this role ensures the seamless day-to-day operation of the school's IT provision and supports the implementation of strategic improvement initiatives. This role necessitates some technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to address the diverse needs of multiple schools within Sigma. Due to the nature of this role, the post holder will need to have the ability to maintain a good level of the workings around multiple school-based software programs, maintain a friendly and supportive personality and be prepared to travel to multiple sites at short notice. Some of your key responsibilities will include: To support staff and students with the use of ICT including online support, and assisting with staff and student training where appropriate. To oversee the day-to-day service provision and distribution of operational tasks across IT team members in the absence of the Network Manager. To support staff and students with the set-up and preparation of ICT equipment. Report any detected breach of the school's ICT acceptable use policy to the relevant Manager. Assist the Headteachers and Trust leaders with ensuring the management of digital Safeguarding. (The full details can be found in the attached Job Outline and Person Specification). We're looking for you if you have: Previous experience in IT technology transferable to Google Workspace administration. Experience in IT systems administration and web-based platforms. Google Education Level 1 and 2 or equivalent.
