An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, professional, and versatile individual to join the Parts Department primarily based at our Warrington site, the role will also involve supporting our other VMU sites in Chorley and Livingston. Regular travel between sites and working from both Chorley and Livingston (including an overnight stay) will be required as part of this role. A company van will be available for business use when travelling between sites. The hours and days of work for this role are primarily Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4.30pm. Reporting to the VMU Manager, you will be responsible for providing customers with a parts service and completing stock control duties for our Warrington site and supporting our Chorley & Livingston locations. The Role Will Be Responsible For Ordering the required parts and liaising with local suppliers, controlling, and updating stock, including checking and transfer and deliver parts as required to other customers and company locations. Ensure all parts stocks are properly received, located, and securely stored and supplied using the required documentation and processes. Monitor the parts location file, ensuring that all parts have the control digit allocated and a proper location, particularly newly created part locations. Maintain service levels on franchised and non-Volvo stocks. Carry out stock taking duties and report all stock losses and or damages as soon as possible. Receipt reconciliation, return and log all exchange units and carry out and justify stock adjustments. Be responsible for a dedicated parts van. The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, skills, and experience: Previous experience within a Parts role and/or within the industry, including customer service experience. Numeracy and literacy skills to a level to deal with parts documentation. The ability to identify parts from parts catalogues and electronic media. Understand basic commercial vehicle make-up. Excellent customer facing and interpersonal skills. Computer literate with previous experience of using a stock control system. Be well organised and confident and able to work well under pressure. Full and current UK driving licence. A forklift licence would be advantageous.
