About the role:
As an Electrical Qualified Supervisor, you will carry out a range of electrical work and supervise Electrical Operatives and Electrical Contractors working on our clients' housing stock ensuring that any electrical installations which are worked on are safe for continued use to safeguard the service users, members of the public, clients' personnel, and Mears employees from any potential danger associated with electricity.
Role Criteria:
* Experience with installing, servicing, and maintaining electrical systems and appliances in accordance with the current Edition of The IET Wiring Regulations.
* Knowledge to install, repair, inspect & test electrical installations and ability to fill in correctly the appropriate Electrical Certificate or Electrical Condition Report.
* Flexibility to cover the out-of-hours rota where required: 1 weekend in 4, and 1 day a week depending on the business needs to ensure contract compliance & service user satisfaction for emergency repairs.
* Ensure that all electrical work is carried in accordance with The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and in line with the requirements of BS 7671 (as amended) and Mears Electrical Procedures and Policies.
Essential qualifications:
* NVQ Level 3 Including AM2.
* Test & Inspection – City & Guilds 2391 Qualification.
* 18th Edition (BS 7671:2018) – City & Guilds 2382.
* NICEIC compliance qualified.
* Previous experience as an Electrical Qualified Supervisor.
* UK Full driving license.
* Provide own hand tools.
