Shift Engineer (Electrical Biased)
Location: Stoke-On-Trent
Shift Pattern: 12hr Shifts – 2 Days / 2 Nights / 4 Off

Our client is a leading food manufacturer that values hard work, teamwork, and developing people. They are part of a global group with multiple sites in the UK and are looking for an electrically biased shift engineer to join the team.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Carry out planned preventative, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of all high-speed production & packaging machinery.
* Work on control panels, HMI’s, PLCs, SCADA Systems.
* Electrical & mechanical fault finding, problem solving, and repairs.
* Deal with motors, servo drives, contactors, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, inverters.
* Manage stores, order spares & parts when needed.
* Maintain and alter electrical & mechanical drawings.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Must be an electrically biased engineer.
* NVQ Level 3 electrical engineering or maintenance minimum.
* Ideally have experience in fast-paced / FMCG manufacturing industry.
* Must have completed a time-served apprenticeship.
* Strong electrical & mechanical problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of PLCs, automation & control systems, HMIs is beneficial.
* Ability to fault find in control panels.
* Able to read and follow electrical schematic drawings.
* Willingness to assist in all team areas.
* Experience with motors, inverters, VSDs, sensors, switches, pneumatics, gearboxes.
* Ideally experienced with high-speed production & packaging machinery.
