We have an exciting vacancy for a Move On Officer (Migration) on a permanent, full-time contract for 37 hours per week.

About you…
You will possess strong customer engagement skills, with the ability to clearly explain and discuss available options. You will have the necessary knowledge to conduct comprehensive needs assessments, including financial assessments, and utilise a range of resources and tools to support the move-on process. This will ensure that households are successfully placed into suitable and affordable accommodation on the first attempt. With excellent communication skills and the ability to work to deadlines, you will be adept at managing your time and resources efficiently.
About the team…
The Housing Management Team is a busy team providing an extensive and responsive property management service to homeless clients placed into temporary accommodation.
Sitting within Welfare and Housing Services the team support each other by working closely together to achieve the right results, and to deliver a holistic service to clients who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. This role will also have close working links with the Migration Team and its customers who are accommodated as part of a national resettlement scheme. You will engage in diverse and challenging work every day, making it both rewarding and fulfilling, as we react to the demands of our homeless clients in temporary accommodation.
By providing safe accommodation, ensuring they meet all health and safety regulations, we help our clients to feel safe and secure and to get people back on their feet quickly.

Key responsibilities...
In this role, your primary responsibility will be to work with households participating in a national resettlement scheme, helping to determine the most appropriate path for their re-housing into settled accommodation. You will support households in accessing their agreed move-on options through the Find Your Own scheme.
You will liaise with other parts of the service, identifying private rented accommodation for clients, in order to identify a suitable housing option. To advise clients on how best to source this type of accommodation themselves and the assistance available.
This role is key to ensuring that households are moved on successfully into long term solutions.
