Overview
A fantastic opportunity to work at an award winning leading firm of specialist family law solicitors based in Chancery Lane, London.
The successful candidate should have prior experience in working as a Legal EA for a boutique family law firm, or for the family department of a larger firm.
The role is part-time, for 24 hours per week (the equivalent of 3 days), with flexibility on when in the week those hours are worked. The preference would be for remote working.

Your role
The firm is looking to recruit a kind, sociable and ambitious individual with a professional and pro-active approach, strong client care skills and a sensitive and sympathetic understanding of clients’ needs.
You should be able to communicate clearly and effectively and be able to deal with high net worth clients and prioritise your own workload whilst also working as part of a close knit team with a number of different family lawyers.
We are looking for someone who demonstrates a pragmatic and flexible approach with the ability to think laterally. You will need to have a personable, confident and professional manner and the ability to be resilient and stay calm under pressure. You should be discreet and tactful, self-motivated and able to use your own initiative but also to know when to seek guidance.
Good administration, time keeping and organisational skills and an eye for detail are a must. You will also need to have excellent IT and document management skills and be familiar with Microsoft Office applications, LEAP document management software (desirable but not necessary), the HMCTS portal, Adobe Pro, digital dictation software and Bundledocs.
All members of the firm are expected to act at all times as an ambassador of the firm.

In the role you will provide secretarial and administrative support to our family lawyers by undertaking the following tasks:
1. Electronic Diary management, booking meeting rooms, arranging meetings;
2. Liaising with clients, solicitors, barristers, courts and counsel;
3. Typing letters, financial statements and other court documents;
4. Preparing hearing bundles;
5. Preparation of invoices and statements of account;
6. Opening, closing and maintain e-files;
7. Undertaking compliance checks and obtaining AML documentation.

Your application should include:
1. Previous experience (of over 3 years) working full time at a specialist Family Law firm (or family law department of a larger firm) undertaking private family law work.
2. Details of two potential professional referees who will be contacted in the event of an offer of employment.
