Responsibilities
Assist residents with daily personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
Support residents in participating in social and recreational activities to enhance their quality of life.
Help maintain a safe and clean environment within the residential facility.
Document and report any changes in residents' physical or emotional state to the healthcare team.
Collaborate with nursing staff to implement and adjust individualized care plans as needed.
Promote residents' independence by encouraging them to carry out daily tasks to the best of their ability.
Provide companionship and emotional support, helping to reduce feelings of isolation.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Support Worker or Health Care Assistant, preferably in a neuro care setting.
A strong understanding of neurological conditions and their impact on daily living.
Possession of an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualifications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with residents and their families.
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
A compassionate and patient demeanor, with a dedication to promoting resident dignity and respect.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £14.00
Location: Wishaw, North Lanarkshire
