This is an exciting time to join a rapidly growing team as we expand our solar offering across the UK. Full training will be provided and as you develop there will be many opportunities to progress within the team.
The Role
We're looking for an enthusiastic individual with a keen eye for quality to join our installation team. This role includes helping move materials, working on scaffolding and assisting fitting the panels as a team. You will be expected to ensure the site is kept clean and tidy, unloading, and assisting with deliveries and general labouring duties. You will join a motivated team that has an emphasis on delivering quality installations in this exciting industry. You will need to be comfortable working at height, willing to travel and flexible to work a range of hours (with occasional overnight stays). You will have a proven ability to work as part of a team as well as independently, be reliable, punctual, have a proactive approach to problem solving and a positive attitude to health and safety.
Responsibilities
* Installation of Solar PV on new build, domestic & commercial properties
* Setting out and stringing the panels as per the design provided
* Running and connecting the DC cables
* Gathering photo evidence
* Completing relevant forms through our app-based system
Requirements
* Practical experience within construction, delivery, installation or similar would be an advantage.
* PAF and telehandler licence a distinct advantage
* Methodical, accurate and process focused approach to tasks.
* Flexibility to work and travel across Southern regions
* Good problem solving skills
* Good communication skills
* Ability to read and follow detailed instructions, follow technical drawings measure distances, and perform calculations using phone or calculator
* CSCS card and site experience is preferable but not necessary
* You must be eligible to work in the UK
* Full UK Driving Licence
You will receive full training with the opportunity for progression to team leader on demonstration of ability with higher payment rates. Tools and uniform provided. The role is paid weekly.
