Affinity Water has an opportunity for a Programme Manager; the role will lead assigned investment programmes to ensure value-based efficiency and benefits in delivery. This includes developing knowledge and insights towards AMP8 (understanding the way we make decisions and what we need to be successful), forecasting outturn, improving the quality of decision-making at IG/IC (e.g., by ensuring relevant investment proposals are presented to advise the directors about their choices), engaging with delivery teams and stakeholders, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, to cost, quality, expected outcomes, and benefits.
This role is within the Asset Strategy and Capital Delivery Directorate and reports to the Head of Investment Programme Management (IPM). The Head of IPM is responsible for the following teams: Investment Estimating, Investment Portfolio, Investment Portfolio Risk & Planning, Programme Management Office, and closely collaborates with other Business Partner’s support (e.g., finance, commercial).

* Self-motivated and proactive in tracking a range of different tasks and projects, anticipating risks and issues.
* Technical-based mindset.
* Water industry and business knowledge with prior involvement in delivering projects within a regulated infrastructure environment.
* Knowledgeable in managing contracts.
* Excellent management skills across multi-disciplined teams as well as excellent communication skills.
* Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
