Overview
As the Store Manager, you will be at the heart of the management team. Ensuring the smooth running of our flagship Glasgow showroom, you will lead by example to drive sales performance in your store.
Key Responsibilities
As the most senior member of management in your store, your role is to work with your management team to lead our sales advisors to drive growth and achieve key performance targets. Your main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Lead your team of sales advisors to maximise all sales opportunities and achieve sales & KPI targets.
2. Uphold and maintain service standards within your showroom to ensure all customers receive 5-star service.
3. Manage and oversee showroom operations, ensuring the efficient functioning of the showroom in line with brand standards.
4. Analyse reports and sales data to highlight opportunities for improvement.
5. Manage attendance, timekeeping, and performance in your team, in accordance with HR policies and procedures.
6. Ensure consistent Health & Safety compliance.
7. Liaise with colleagues across the business to ensure best practice.
8. Promote effective communication within your team, ensuring everyone is kept up-to-date with company announcements and updates.
9. Attend monthly managers meetings; prepare feedback on WTD & MTD performance and confidently present this.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will be an experienced manager in a similar sized retail environment, with a natural ability to lead and motivate a sales team. To be successful in this role you will need/have:
1. Strong sales skills; able to achieve personal targets and lead employees to achieve team targets.
2. Passion for creating an exceptional experience for customers.
3. Great people skills; using your excellent communication and leadership skills to get the best out of your team.
4. Quick-thinking; you will need to think on your feet and adapt as needed in a busy working environment.
5. Well organised; you will be able to structure your day, prioritise tasks, and ensure deadlines are met.
6. Strong communication skills; you must be able to confidently and clearly communicate with your team, other departments, and our leadership team.
Skills/Knowledge/Experience
Essential
Minimum 3 years' experience of managing a fast-paced, high turnover sales environment.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Confident with Office 365 packages.
Ability to analyse and interpret data/reports to inform decisions.
Desirable
Full driving license and access to own car.
Health & safety management.
Knowledge of bathroom/plumbing products.
