Job Description
Are you an experienced Engineer looking for a new challenge? Look no further! Valeo Snackfoods, a manufacturer of some of the UK’s best loved snacks and confectionery, is looking for a new member of the team!
What you'll be doing:
* The daily reporting of breakdowns v PPMs activities
* Prioritisation of repair work
* Planning and Monitoring machine performance
* Working with the Planning Department to negotiate machine availability
* Monitoring failure
* Supporting External Contractors
* Technical support for production when required
* To maintain the highest standards in housekeeping, adopting a clean as you go policy.
* To maintain the highest standards when completing paperwork and works sign off.
Key areas of the role:
* Carrying out of the engineering activities.
* Achieving P.P.M. Plans and completion rates.
* Minimizing engineering downtime.
* Maintaining GMP and safety standards within the Engineering Department.
* Implementing and ensuring compliance of engineering processes within the team.
* Ensuring the highest engineering audit standards at all times· Ensuring Engineering skills and knowledge are maintained at the highest level.
About you:
* Relevant engineering qualification
* Able to prove competency in all forms of isolation, electrical safety and safe panel entry
* Experience of FMCG operations
* PC Literate (thereby able to use computer-based maintenance systems)
* Able to strip machines in full and reassemble them, as well as completing machine size change procedures and their adjustments.

Additional information
Salary: £46,920 per annum
Hours: 4 on 4 off, 6am till 6pm and 6pm till 6am (rotating shifts)
