The Role: We are seeking a Team Manager with Enterprise IT experience to join our IT Management Team at John Muir House in Haddington. You will lead and manage the End User Platforms and Service Desk team, providing top-tier IT support to over 4000 users across 100 sites, including our 6 secondary schools and 36 primary schools.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the team and its functions.
* Manage and supervise staff, ensuring high performance and development.
* Play a pivotal role in advancing the Council's Digital Strategy and Transformation programme.
* Focus on user support requirements and provide the right IT tools for effective functioning.

Essential Requirements:
* Education: Relevant degree or equivalent knowledge, skills, and competencies gained through at least 5 years of experience in an enterprise environment.
* Disclosure Scotland: Basic Disclosure Clearance is required to access secure government networks. East Lothian Council will submit a baseline personal security standard application on behalf of the preferred candidate.

Job Details
To manage the IT Desktop and Service Desk team to ensure that IT’s customers receive the levels of support and customer service that is required.
In conjunction with the Service Manager contribute to the design and delivery of the wider IT Service.

Relevant Qualifications
Relevant degree and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.
Driving Licence
A full current driving licence is desirable for this post.
