The Trafford & Stockport College Group (TSCG) has an opportunity for an experienced Job Coach to join the Inclusion team to help us achieve our vision of unlocking potential and fostering success.
The Role
You will provide specialist support for learners in our Progression Curriculum department, who are attending study programmes, such as our Pre-Supported or Supported Internships and in sourcing work placement opportunities for our vocational learners.
The role of Job Coach is crucial in helping young people to learn work ethics, supporting each person on the job to maximise their potential and demonstrate their ability to be a competent and high performing employee. The role will be varied and could include supporting groups of young people and adults with disabilities in a classroom setting, as well as providing one-to-one support during work placements. You must be passionate, committed, creative and have strong values about employment for young people, including those with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.

About You:
You will liaise with internal departments and external organisations to identify and secure work experience placement opportunities for students. You will also work closely with the Inclusion and Progression teams and managers to facilitate a well-planned work experience programme.

We are looking for someone who has a proven track record of success in the employability, work experience or support sector, who has previous understanding of work-based development skills, the ability to liaise effectively with employers and other agencies. In addition, you will have previous experience of identifying the knowledge and skills of learners and coaching and supporting learners to ensure they receive quality work experience placements and develop at a suitable pace to progress into paid employment.

In certain cases, it may be appropriate to appoint to a higher point in the pay grade at the discretion of the Director of HR & Performance due to the candidate’s current salary, experience or qualifications.
