The Engineering Lecturer will deliver high quality teaching and learning in foundation level motor vehicle and manufacturing
skills, ensuring students develop the knowledge and practical skills required for successful progression. The role also includes
responsibility for internal quality assurance (IQA) of City & Guilds qualifications within the engineering department.
About the role:
As Engineering Lecturer you will have the enthusiasm and drive to deliver these vocational programmes. Your role will include:
* Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and effective lessons in foundation level motor vehicle and manufacturing skills
* Assess, review and record learner progress
* Maintain course and learner records
* To embed employment skills in to the curriculum courses
* Promoting the College ethos and values
To fulfil the role of Engineering Lecturer you will have:
* Degree/HND or relevant professional qualifications & strong industry experience
* Level 3 or above in Motor Vehicle or Manufacturing Engineering
* Teaching qualifications – or be prepared to work towards this with our support
* Level 2 English & Maths2
* Demonstrable experience in the motor vehicle or manufacturing industry
* A1/V1 or working towards it
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and be skilled in the use of IT
