We are looking for a passionate and skilled Food and Beverage Manager to join our team and ensure the highest standards of food and drink service at our events.
Role Overview:
The Food and Beverage Manager will be responsible for overseeing the food and beverage operations for all events organized by TJR EVENTS GROUP. This includes planning, coordinating, and managing the food and beverage team, as well as ensuring that all aspects of food and drink service meet standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Event Planning & Coordination:
Work closely with project managers to understand the food and beverage needs for each event.
Develop food and beverage menus in collaboration with vendors, ensuring a diverse offering and an affordable menu.
Ensure that all food and beverage service aligns with event themes.
2. Staff Management:
Recruit, train, and manage food and beverage staff for events.
Ensure all team members provide excellent customer service and adhere to company standards.
Organise and oversee staff schedules to ensure proper coverage for all events.
3. Inventory & Budget Management:
Monitor food and beverage inventory levels and ensure proper stock management before and after each event.
Manage budgets for food and beverage services, ensuring efficient cost control and profitability.
Place orders for food and beverage supplies as needed, negotiating with vendors to secure the best prices and quality.
4. Health & Safety Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
Oversee cleanliness and organization of food and beverage areas, including kitchen, service stations, and bars.
5. Venue/Council/HSE Relations:
Act as the primary point of contact for venues regarding food and beverage arrangements.
Ensure customer satisfaction by providing excellent service, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
6. Event Execution:
Supervise the execution of food and beverage service at events, ensuring smooth operation and timely service.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during events to ensure client satisfaction.
Skills & Experience:
1. Proven experience as a Food and Beverage Manager or similar role in event management, hospitality, or catering.
2. Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment.
3. Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail.
4. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
5. Knowledge of health and safety regulations, food hygiene, and liquor licensing laws.
6. Ability to manage budgets and control costs effectively.
7. Flexible and adaptable, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Qualifications:
1. A degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Event Management, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
2. Relevant certifications in food safety and alcohol management are a plus.
Competitive salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum.
