We're working with a food business which is looking for a Planning Manager who can lead the team, work collaboratively across departments, and enhance processes at their state-of-the-art manufacturing site.
About the Role:
As Planning Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operational performance of the site through effective planning and forecasting. Reporting to the Site Director, some of your key responsibilities will include:
1. Developing effective, robust production schedules to ensure orders are fulfilled on time.
2. Translating customer forecasts into clear, actionable demand plans.
3. Overseeing inventory levels, working closely with procurement to maintain stock availability.
4. Identifying opportunities to improve planning processes and drive efficiencies.
5. Leading and developing the planning team, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
6. Working closely with colleagues in production, logistics, and commercial teams to align planning with business objectives.
About You:
1. Planning or Supply Chain leadership experience gained in food manufacturing.
2. Strong knowledge and experience of production and supply chain operations.
3. Experience of using databases, inventory, and planning and manufacturing software (ideally SAP).
4. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to work well and influence colleagues at all levels.
5. A proactive and analytical mindset, with an ability to juggle a busy workload and solve problems.
