Kepak is one of Europe's leading food producers. We are recruiting for experienced Butchers and Slaughter Operatives for our 3 UK sites: Scotland (Aberdeen), England (Bodmin), and Wales (Merthyr).
As a skilled Butcher/Slaughter Operative, your role will be essential in ensuring that our meat products are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:
* Use knives and other equipment to prepare and process meat products according to production specifications.
* Ensure that meat products are cut and trimmed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
* Keep work area clean and follow all safety regulations and procedures.
* Meet production goals and work as a team to ensure timely completion of tasks.
* Production levels: up to 2000 cattle per week (depending on site).
* Species: Beef and Lamb.
* Properly store and handle meat products to prevent waste and spoilage.
* Continuously learn and improve knowledge of knife skills and meat processing techniques.
Requirements:
* Candidate must arrange own TB vaccination status, English Language Test (B1 UKVI standard), and complete visa application process (cost approx. ZAR18, 000.00).
* Previous knife skills and butchery/slaughter experience in fast-paced food manufacturing is required.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production goals.
* Attention to detail and ability to follow strict production specifications and safety procedures.
* Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift and move heavy items whilst working in a chilled environment.
* Flexibility to meet daily production targets.
* Adaptable to change and production demands.
