About the role: As a Business Developer, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, establishing, and maintaining client relationships, and driving growth across various sectors. Key responsibilities: Identify and secure new business opportunities within the construction sector, focusing on residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, contractors, architects, and stakeholders. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends and new business opportunities. Develop and present tailored proposals to secure new contracts and partnerships. Work collaboratively with project management and operations teams to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction. Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking meetings to promote the company and generate new leads. Prepare and manage tender submissions, including negotiating terms and contracts. Achieve and exceed sales targets to contribute to the overall growth and profitability of the business. Stay up to date with industry regulations, innovations, and best practices to provide valuable insights to clients. Key Requirements: Proven experience as a Business Developer, Sales Manager, or similar role within the construction industry. Strong understanding of the UK construction market and its key players. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence at all levels. A results-driven approach with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Strong negotiation and proposal-writing skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of construction project management processes and tendering. A full UK driving licence is preferred due to the need for travel to client meetings and sites. A degree or equivalent qualification in business, construction management, or a related field is desirable, but not essential.
