About the Role
Seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the design and development of onshore wind, solar, and battery storage projects, integrating renewable energy into the grid and driving investment in rural communities.
Responsibilities
1. Design electrical systems for renewable energy projects.
2. Develop HV substation designs and specify electrical equipment.
3. Design overhead line and underground cable systems.
4. Support grid connection processes and compliance with regulations.
5. Provide technical input for procurement and project approvals.
6. Manage external technical support and ensure CDM compliance.
Requirements
Knowledge & Skills
1. Experience in electrical design for renewable projects.
2. Understanding of electricity transmission, distribution, and regulatory frameworks.
3. Knowledge of wind farm, distribution, and transmission asset design.
4. Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Experience & Qualifications
1. Minimum five years’ experience in the power/energy sector.
2. Experience in onshore wind or electricity distribution/transmission preferred.
3. Chartered Engineer status (or working towards) desirable.
