About the Role: As the SMT Team Lead, you will be responsible for the daily operations of a small but highly skilled team, ensuring the efficient assembly of complex electronic products in small to medium volumes. Key Responsibilities for the SMT Team Lead job in Woking, Surrey: Lead and manage a team of three specialised assembly technicians. Operate and program pick and place machines, including a 3x ASM SX line. Oversee the use of additional equipment such as 3D AOI, Selective Soldering, X-Ray, and Conformal-Coating machines. Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are followed and liaise with suppliers for machine maintenance. Allocate resources effectively and provide technical leadership on key projects. Collaborate with stakeholders on resource forecasting and project planning. Support DFM (Design for Manufacture), DFA (Design for Assembly), and DFT (Design for Test) with the NPI team. Lead production and inspection activities to ensure products meet the highest quality standards. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in line with ISO9001 standards. Provide mentorship and development opportunities for team members.
