Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate would typically be accountable for:
* Manage and develop the assets risk and health index models
* Developing risk modelling tools and capabilities within the business and national frameworks
* Tracking and regulatory reporting of health indices and other requirements
* Effectively communicating with internal/external engineering bodies
* Develop asset investment strategy and plans, covering asset risk management plans, asset renewal policy and selection criteria
* Technically assure the development of our asset renewal candidates across multiple workstreams, to inform capital scheme development

Qualifications and Attributes
Essential Qualifications and Experience
* Level 5 or 6 (HND, degree, or equivalent) in STEM subject, or a level 4 qualification (e.g., HNC) with at least three years of relevant experience
* Highly proficient in the use of Excel, Access or equivalent tools to source and interpret data from a variety of sources and produce standard and non standard reports
* Experience of risk modelling
* Knowledge of the principles of power systems and the associated assets within the systems
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
* Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
* Professional membership/chartership/working towards chartership (e.g. MIET)
* Project management qualifications
* Knowledge of UK electrical distribution equipment including the LV, HV and EHV networks
* Appreciation of regulation within the UK
* Experience managing projects or programmes of work
* Experience in using SQL and NoSQL databases and manipulating data using tools like Excel, Oracle Analytics, Power BI or equivalent
