Speciality Doctor in Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare
This post offers an exciting opportunity to join a highly motivated team of health professionals providing high quality sexual and reproductive healthcare across the life course model to the population of Hywel Dda University Health board (HDUHB).
The Sexual Health Service within Hywel Dda is a fully integrated, paperless service, delivering care across three counties: Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire, and Ceredigion. Over 37,000 contacts occurred across three counties in 2023-2024, with an expectation that this will increase in line with national statistics. Staff are dual trained in contraception and sexual health working out of seven clinical sites, which are currently a combination of community and hospital-based. The service manages the early medical abortion service at home (EMAH) and leads on the development of abortion services across HDUHB.
Main Duties of the Job
This post will assist in increasing provision and access to specialist sexual and reproductive health services in the east of the region focusing on supporting services within Carmarthenshire primarily, but with flexibility to cover services across the three counties when necessary.
The Specialty Doctor will be an integral part of the service working alongside the senior management team and specialist nurses to further the development of the services in line with national standards.
