Employee Relations Manager - Croydon Job Type: Full-timeSalary: £23.34 p/h PAYE Are you an Employee Relations professional looking to make a significant impact? Join a team at a local hospital as an Employee Relations Manager and work closely with the Head of Employee Relations to deliver a proactive, professional, and efficient service. This pivotal role involves managing the ER team and ensuring high-standard investigations within required timeframes. You’ll support the Trust’s restorative approaches to people practices, making informal resolution the new norm for conflict resolution. Employee Relations Manager Responsibilities: Lead the ER Team: Coordinate and monitor all ER activities to ensure a fair and transparent process. Support Line Managers: Provide advice and support on various ER issues, empowering managers to handle people issues effectively. Develop Managerial Skills: Enhance the skill and capacity of managers through guidance and training. Manage Complex Cases: Handle a caseload of complex cases and hearings, ensuring timely completion in line with Trust policies and employment legislation. Improve Staff Experience: Produce KPI reports and facilitate improvements to enhance staff experience and reduce the negative impact of formal processes. Communicate Effectively: Engage sensitively and diplomatically with all staff involved in ER processes. Ensure Confidentiality: Maintain the security and confidentiality of all data during the investigatory process. What we are looking for in our Employee Relations Manager: Extensive experience of providing expert advice on Employee Relations in large organisations, preferably within the NHS. Strong leadership abilities. Ability to communicate with a wide range of people on complex issues and/or in complex situations. Good IT skills including word/excel/PowerPoint. A thorough knowledge of employment law and experience of interpreting and applying the law in the context of a complex investigation.
