YOU
As our EHS Advisor you will develop and implement the sites compliance processes and procedures where you will contribute to delivering a Zero Ham culture, displaying a Gemba focussed mindset.
1. To assist the EHS Manager in the management of the Environment, Health and Safety Management system for the Coleford site
2. To provide support and technical expertise across all areas on site
3. Carry out pro-active and reactive EHS inspections, audits and Gembas
4. Oversee and lead accident and incident investigations, reporting back to the EHS Manager
5. Help maintain risk assessments to ensure that safe systems of work, equipment and premises are maintained
6. Help maintain the COSHH management programme on site to ensure legal compliance
7. Key resource in maintaining all EHS accreditations and assessments, including; ISO14001, ISO 45001, MCERTS, DNV ISRS accreditations
8. Advise on actions required to minimise the risks to the environment and the health and safety of employees, visitors and contractors
9. Ensure compliance with EHS legislation and corporate guidelines
YOUR ROLE
10. The post holder will hold day to day responsibility for various areas of Environment, Health and Safety across site, through involvement in daily line side meetings, and through leading monthly QEHS departmental meetings
11. The post holder will be expected to advise on and assist in finding solutions to EHS risks
12. Deliver various EHS training programmes to all teams across site
13. Maintain the risk assessments training and tracking programme
14. Support the EHS Manager in addressing EHS related neighbour complaints as necessary
15. To offer appropriate advice on EHS matters for CAPEX projects
WHAT YOU BRING
16. Hold or already working towards a level 4 Occupational Health and Safety qualification with a view (or hold) to working towards a level 6
17. Hold or working towards IEMA foundation certificate in Environmental Management
18. Hold or working towards an MCERTS qualification
19. Hold a First Aider qualification
20. Existing knowledge of GB EHS legislation
21. Extensive knowledge of pest control management
22. Strong experience of working within an audit environment
23. Extensive knowledge of recycling legislation
24. Computer Literate, with sound working knowledge of software packages such as Microsoft Office.
25. Strong communication skills, enthusiastic and self- motivated.
26. *Some travel to other Suntory locations may be required on occasions for purposes of observing best practice, support or training.
