Job Description
Our Quarry Mechanical Engineer is responsible for inspections, repairs, replacements, adjustments, and maintenance of installed machinery and related equipment. You will also be involved in planned, preventative mechanical maintenance tasks as well as attending to reactive mechanical breakdowns on process and service equipment.
You should have:
1. Experience installing, maintaining and troubleshooting various types of machinery.
2. Experience utilizing hand and power tools, including but not limited to:
* Grinder
* Drill press
* Caliper
* Micrometer
* Protractor
* Gauges
* Wrenches
* Chisels
* Files
* Scrapers
1. Quarry experience would be beneficial (but not essential).
You will:
1. Inspect all installed machinery and other machines, related parts and components.
2. Make line repair adjustments.
3. Lay out work, make setups, operate shop floor equipment and machine tools to repair or make required parts.
4. Weld, braze, scrape and cut various types of metals necessary for maintenance repairs and fabrication of new components and equipment.
5. Determine cause of breakdown or required repairs, reconditioning or replacements.
Qualifications
Experience in fault finding, fans, pumps, motors, and similar is beneficial but not necessary. We are open to hire and retrain vehicle mechanics.
