Job Title: Programme Manager Public Health
Contract Length: 3-6-month initial interim contract
Location: London based local authority
Working arrangements: Part-time 3 days a week, on-site as and when needed for key events
Pay rate: £450 per day
IR35 Status: Inside of IR35
Baltimore Consulting are working with a London based Local Authority in their search for an experienced public health professional to support them in programme management capacity, focusing on leading the procurement of the council's health visiting service.
Your duties for this position:
1. Work with the Associate Director of Public Health and the Programme Lead for Maternity & Early Years in a senior capacity within the public health directorate, focusing on the procurement of the council's health visiting service and FNP.
2. Deliverables include collaborating with internal and external partners on the service specification and building on all preparatory work, including evaluation and health needs assessment.
3. Lead on the procurement of the service, while being supported by the wider procurement team.
Experience needed for this role:
1. Established public health background within a local authority setting, with past experience leading large procurements.
2. Health visiting commissioning experience to ensure the service specification meets public needs in line with national guidance.
3. Strong communication skills with an understanding of other public sector organisations' cultures, structures, and policies.
4. Able to provide a minimum of two years' worth of references.
