The Supplier Quality Engineer oversees the quality of external suppliers for Measham Operations (Measham, Hams Hall, H300), ensuring product quality, managing non-conformances, fostering supplier relationships, and supporting new product launches and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
1. Ensure Supplier Quality: Manage supplier quality, handle non-conformities (NCN), lead corrective actions (8D), and implement 100% inspections.
2. Support New Product Launches: Validate supplier processes, ensure compliance with PPAP, and approve initial samples.
3. Optimize Serial Supply: Oversee incoming inspections, reduce defects, negotiate non-conformity costs, and enhance supplier performance.
4. Drive Continuous Improvement: Monitor KPIs (PPM, NCN, costs), conduct audits, implement progress plans, and support supplier development.
5. Ensure Compliance & Requalification: Approve critical parts and ensure compliance with OPmobility and OEM standards.
6. Lead & Train: Supervise the inspection team, strengthen supplier collaboration, and foster a proactive quality culture.
Profile
1. Bachelor's or master’s degree in engineering, preferably in the automotive industry.
2. Experience in supplier quality management and proficiency in quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D, SAP QM).
3. Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
4. Fluent in English, autonomous, and results oriented.
