We have an exciting opportunity for a Practice Nurse to join our welcoming and supportive Practice Nurse team.
Job summary
To undertake a mixture of general nursing clinics with support and training as required.
Wilson Street Surgery is looking for a dynamic Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of a variety of Practice nursing services.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work collaboratively with our Nursing team in delivering a high standard of care to patients, for example:
1. Cervical screening
2. Administration of routine childhood, adult and travel immunisations
3. Ear syringing
4. Wound care and removal of sutures and clips
5. Administer injections to include B12, Depo Provera, Nebido, Zoladex and Prostap
6. Contraception and sexual health
7. Following local IPC policies and guidance
8. Continuously developing their own skills and knowledge and where appropriate provide information for others, to help their development
9. To contribute to effective working in a changing environment as services change and develop
Training can be provided for the suitable candidate.

The main surgery is situated at 11 Wilson Street, Derby and we have two branch surgeries: Taddington Road Surgery, Chaddesden, Derby and St Thomas Road Surgery, 207 St Thomas Road, Derby.
