An exciting opportunity to join an ethical, nature-focused and employee-owned company that provides ecological services to a range of non-commercial clients.
Your work will help organisations better understand how to protect sites and aid nature recovery. You will deliver a varied portfolio of conservation projects, working with local authorities, NGOs and statutory agencies. Projects will involve working as part of a team and undertaking site visits, fieldwork, meetings and report writing/analysis relating to nature reserves and conservation projects.

Key responsibilities
Project Delivery
* You will work on a varied portfolio as appropriate to your skills, eg botanical surveys, land management plans, stakeholder engagement. This could involve:
* Survey design and organisation
* Fieldwork and site visits
* Meetings and workshops
* Report writing and analysis
* Peer and technical review of others’ work
Business development and strategy
* Helping with tenders and quotes
* Developing new or existing clients
* Representing the company at conferences etc
* Input into our employee-owned company.
Qualifications & experience
You will have previously worked with or for NGOs, local authorities, statutory agencies, or have an academic background. You will be familiar with the conservation sector, be highly professional, with good people skills and proven project management skills.
Essential requirements include:
* Relevant BSc
* Minimum 3 years relevant work experience
* Project management skills
* Excellent writing skills
* Field ecology skills
* Excellent IT skills
* Basic GIS and analytical skills
* Detailed understanding of conservation
* Good interpersonal and communication skills
You may be based outside Dorset, and looking to adopt a hybrid approach, but it’s important to us that you attend the office on a regular basis.
