We are seeking an exceptional Digital Workstream Lead to spearhead the Hinchingbrooke Hospital Redevelopment Programme (HHRP)—a Wave 1 scheme within the New Hospital Programme (NHP). What we are looking for
* Proven track record in large scale NHS digital transformation with hands on experience delivering intelligent hospital ecosystems
* Deep expertise in healthcare IT including EPRs, AI automation, cybersecurity and loT-enabled smart buildings
* Strategic leadership in digital projects, NHS procurement and governance with knowledge and expertise of New Hospital Programme digital standards desirable
* Strong Board level influencing skills engaging with NHSE, NHS Digital, ICS and external partners to drive digital excellence

Main duties of the job
Your role
* Develop and implement a cutting edge digital strategy for Hichingbrooke Hospital Redevelopment, integrating AI loT automation and real time analytics into hospital operations
* Oversee the procurement, deployment and integration of next generational digital hospital technologies ensuring seamless EPR connectivity and interoperability
* Drive cybersecurity, data protection and compliance ensuring digital systems are resilient, secure and future proof
* Leverage big data and predictive analytics to enhance patient flow, workforce management and clinical decision making
* Lead stakeholder engagement at regional and national levels, representing NWAFT in NHS Digital forums and innovation hubs
* Manage a c. £70m-£80m digital transformation budget as part of the overall capital budget for the scheme of £500m-£1bn ensuring ROI and long term digital sustainability.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
* Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Digital Health, Informatics, Leadership or a related field with evidence of ongoing professional development in digital transformation and leadership
* NHS/public sector digital leadership certification or formal training in change management and organisational leadership
Qualifications
* Experience of leading teams in the development and realisation of digitally enabled change programmes
* Proven track record of leading large-scale NHS digital transformation programmes, ensuring strategic oversight, delivery to time and budget, and long-term impact
* Proven ability to engage, influence and negotiate at Board level, including NHSE, NHS Digital, ICSs and external partners, with direct involvement in NHS governance and strategic decision-making
* Extensive experience in leading enterprise-wide digital strategies, ensuring interoperability, cybersecurity compliance, sustainability, and adoption of AI and automation technologies
* Leading teams in the procurement, deployment and integration of intelligent hospital technologies including EPRs, smart infrastructure and AI driven solutions.
* Significant experience in leading NHS digital transformation within major capital projects, ensuring alignment with New Hospital Programme (NHP) and Hospital 2.0 standards
* Experience in business/service improvement within an NHS environment
* Experience of working in NHS Digital programmes
* Experience of working with clinicians and service users to ensure their views are heard and translated into service improvements
