MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide face-to-face counselling to adults.
2. Liaise with management as appropriate.
3. Work autonomously within the BACP ethical framework.
4. Adhere to the overall framework of Lewis Psychology policies and procedures.
5. Write case notes in line with Lewis Psychology procedures.
The successful applicant will have excellent clinical, written, and verbal communication skills, combined with experience in a role that requires high attention to detail and the ability to follow laid down procedures. The ability to manage time effectively and IT literacy are also essential.
KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERTISE REQUIRED
1. Master's Degree in counselling or psychotherapy.
2. Counselling experience with adults aged 18+ within a professional context.
3. At least 3 years of experience counselling adults.
4. Member of a recognised professional body (BACP, UKCP, BPS, BABCP).

This counsellor/counselling psychologist job post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, and as such, it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
