About The Role UNLOCK YOUR BEST WORK LIFE MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO EVERY LIFE We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join the Primary Care team at HMP Risley, a category C prison located in the Risley area of Warrington. This is a crucial role within the healthcare team, making a real difference to patients, and delivering outstanding care. HMP Risley has an operational capacity of around 1100 inmates, and is a 20 minute drive from Warrington, and 30 minutes from Wigan. Hours: This is a full time role, working an average of 37.5 hours per week, between 20:30 - 07:30. We can offer flexible shifts of either 7 nights on, 7 nights off, or 7 nights worked over a 2 week period, for example 4 on, 3 off, 3 on 4 off. Salary: This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary of £24,669 - £28,690 per annum - depending on experience. Some of your duties will include: Ensure continuity of care for all patients, and deliver outstanding care at all times Work across all areas of care, including inpatients, clinics, primary care, health promotion, bloods etc Respond to emergency situations as needed Work holistically with your patients and other healthcare staff, including nurses, nursing associates, pharmacy etc Deliver personalised, non judgemental care, based on patient feedback Contribute to, and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, wellbeing and clinics If you are interested in career development, we have a wide range of opportunities for you to develop your skills and experience, which include both internal and external options for development and learning.
