Please note, this role is based out of our Holborn Store Support Centre & Home, colleagues go into our Holborn office 1 day per week on average. Internal Audit operates a matrix structure. This means you will have one line manager for your personal development and report to multiple Heads of Risk & Audit for audit delivery. As a Risk & Audit Manager, you will be responsible for leading and delivering a portfolio of internal audits across Sainsbury's Group with minimal supervision. You will own relationships with senior business stakeholders to support them in identifying and managing risks. You will also support the continuous improvement activities in the Internal Audit team. More about the role Lead the end-to-end audit process, managing your workload to deliver multiple audits to time, budget and quality targets across a wide range of business areas. Build strong relationships with audit stakeholders and be the key divisional contact for multiple divisions to drive engagement with the business, maintain divisional knowledge and follow up on audit actions. Provide real-time support, challenge and actionable insight to management when new processes are being implemented / change projects are being delivered. Act with a good level of judgement during audit and advisory work and develop recommendations that balance both commercial considerations and the assurance requirements of the business. Use tools available to pull data to inform audits and provide assurance and advice. Support the Head of Risk & Audit in developing an ongoing risk-based audit plan. Driving a continual risk focus in the business through supporting the Head of Risk & Audit in facilitating risk workshops to help management identify, assess and manage key business risks. Contribute to team success through delivering continuous improvement initiatives in the team. More about you A track record of delivering internal audits for an in-house audit team, FMCG/Retail is desirable and / or through a professional services firm Demonstrable experience or understanding of risk, control and internal audit practices ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CMIIA/CIA qualified Proven experience in developing strong stakeholder relationships at different seniority levels Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and report writing skills Strong commercial acumen and an ability to apply sound judgement Strong time management and project management skills to ensure work is delivered on time, to budget and to the expected quality Good understanding of technology, systems and data flows and how these relate to business operations An understanding of the Internal Audit industry LI-CE1 We are committed to being a truly inclusive retailer, so you'll be welcomed whoever you are and wherever you work.
