Job Purpose:
The Digital Engineering Manager will lead a team of software engineers, developers, and testers, to build innovative digital products and platforms. You will be responsible for managing Engineering project delivery, mentoring team members, optimising processes such as CI/CD and SDLC, and fostering a culture of excellence.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Focused on ensuring that the Engineering team are supported and motivated to provide efficient and effective delivery to projects and initiatives with a fail-fast approach.
2. Owning the evolution of moving from a traditional engineering team into a DevOps Product-focused capability.
3. Defining the Engineering team Objectives and key results to support the overarching Digital Enablement Strategy.
Technical Knowledge & Experience:
Desirable:
1. 5+ years’ experience leading teams of software engineers, developers, and testers.
2. Expertise with CI/CD pipelines, test automation frameworks, and modern SDLC.
3. Experience architecting and managing projects in Azure.
4. Experience with using MSDevOps.
5. Strong project management abilities with technical software teams.
6. Comfortable introducing process change like CI/CD and test automation.
7. Passion for coaching technical teams (engineers, developers, testers).
8. Experience with YAML to support CI/CD pipeline.
Essential:
1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
2. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields.
3. Broad knowledge of Microsoft stack (Dynamics 365 CE, Power Platform including Power Automate).
4. Experience of working with Agile and Waterfall project delivery.
