Fugro’s Marine Asset Integrity Business has an exciting opportunity for an Asset Engineer / Senior Asset Engineer to join our team. Working with the Technical and Project Teams, you will be supporting the company through an exciting period of growth as we expand our offering to the offshore energy markets with new technologies. Within the role you will support our ROV fleet readiness during planning, mobilisations, and offshore operations.
You will be required to have a demonstratable knowledge of ROV systems both technically and operationally, be dynamic and ambitious and be able to communicate both internally and externally at all levels.

Who you’ll be working with:
Reporting directly to the Subsea Robotics Technical Manager you will working with the team in Aberdeen but also you will liaise with wider regional business team and Fugro Group colleagues globally. You will work closely with the Project Managers, Commercial team and Workshop teams.
Here’s what a typical day would be like:
7. Review ROV system readiness and current status in conjunction with Project Managers and Technical Manager.
8. Support planned and ongoing live operations in conjunction with Project teams.
9. Liaise closely with the Engineering department regarding engineering support required.
10. Ensure that Commercial teams are given advice regarding asset capabilities in support of tender and proposal development.
11. Review maintenance records for assets, track equipment failures, noting any trends to identify problem areas for further investigation and improvement.
12. Monitor and control the asset R&M budgets, along with CAPEX applications for investment.
13. Provide technical support to offshore and onshore teams as well as liaise with suppliers and manufacturers.
14. Liaise with innovation teams in terms of system improvements and new solutions.
Who we’re looking for:
Essential
15. Previous experience in the offshore ROV industry.
16. Strong experience of hydraulics, mechanics, electronics (incl. high voltage).
17. Educated to HNC/HND Level or equivalent completed apprenticeship in a relevant discipline.
18. High attention to detail with analytic and problem-solving skills.
