Job Title : Primary Teacher in SEMH School
Location: NG11 area of Nottingham
Salary - Excellent salary on offer, dependent on your background and career to date.
Contract : Options exist for part time or full time hours. Also either long term temporary role (leading onto a permanent hire) or a permanent position from day 1. For the right candidate, the school can be flexible to accommodate your preferences.
Randstad Education is supporting a sepcialist SEMH school to recruit a dedicated and passionate Primary Teacher to join their dynamic team. You will play a pivotal role in fostering the academic, social, and emotional development of young children, laying the foundation for their future learning journey.
Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and developmentally appropriate lessons and activities in line with the curriculum.
* Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued, safe, and supported.
* Assess each child's progress and development, using observations and assessments to inform planning and differentiation.
* Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure the holistic development of each child, including regular communication regarding progress, achievements, and concerns.
* Implement effective behaviour management strategies, promoting positive behaviour and social skills within the classroom.
* Foster a love of learning through imaginative play, exploration, and hands-on experiences, tailored to each child's interests and abilities.
* Maintain accurate records of children's achievements, progress, and any concerns, adhering to school policies and procedures.
* Contribute to the wider life of the school community, including involvement in events, trips, and extracurricular activities.
* Adhere to safeguarding guidelines and promote the welfare and well-being of all children at all times.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching primary aged children, or SEN children.
* A thorough understanding of the relevant framework and principles of child development.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, colleagues, and parents.
* Creative and innovative approach to teaching and learning, with the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
* Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to effectively plan, assess, and record children's progress.
* Commitment to continuous professional development and willingness to engage in reflective practice.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to safeguarding and child protection.
