Thorn Baker are working in collaboration with an established Facilities Management SME based in the Greater London area. We are looking to resource a Cleaning Area Manager to effectively manage and monitor 22 mixed business sites across the Watford/ London area.
Our client is looking for someone who is currently doing a sumlar role or someone who is ready to take the next step up from being a supervisor. A background of working in similar environments is essential, the contracts include educations, logistics, and commercial buildings. The main duties of this role are, but is not limited to:
* Ensure that work is undertaken is in line with the Companies policies / procedures and current legislation.
* Maintain contract retention targets are met on a consistent basis.
* Follow all aspects of Health and Safety at all times and ensure that quarterly H&S audits are carried out with a monthly cleaning inspection.
* Manage recruitment and selection of employees and termination is carried out within the framework of the current employment legislation.
* Effectively recruit, train and develop employees and be responsible for their on-boarding/training and progression
* Manage a motivates, flexible and contented workforce.
* Control overheads and operational costs for the account and ensure profitability.
* Bring about cost saving initiative where applicable.
* Offer effective solutions to client escalations
* Plan, manage and organise the operational activities of the account and oversee work scheduling.
* Ensure proper standards of service / cleaning are established and maintained, any deficiency is remedied as soon as possible with the client to ensure the smooth running of the Account.
* Always ensuring the Account is adequately staffed at all times and services are properly supervised.
* To complete Performance reviews for their employees and ensure they are complying with the policies / procedures of Glenn Cleaning and the client.
* Always ensuring the adequate equipment and materials are available at the site.
o To administer the Account including relations, training, personnel, and accident reporting, together with the company’s grievance and disciplinary procedure.
o To maintain and control Account costs through the control of materials and wages to ensure expenditure is within agreed budgetary guidelines.
o To attend training courses and meetings as requested to keep abreast of new techniques and skills.
o To carry out any other reasonable request from the job holders superior.
