We are currently recruiting for Customer Services Advisors to play a key role in enabling access to services for our residents and service users.
You could be handling incoming telephone calls, emails, and web chat services in the Contact Centre, dealing with customers face-to-face in our Eltham or Woolwich Service Centres, or be the first point of contact on Corporate Reception for visitors to The Woolwich Centre or Town Hall.
Dealing with the public, you’ll provide advice, interpret queries, and re-route the customer appropriately across a range of council services. We are a busy service, handling more than 1.5 million customer contacts per year across a range of council services and customer access channels, including telephone, face-to-face, and email/web.
Your professional manner and excellent written and verbal communication skills will be matched by a real service ethic and the ability to deal with a range of services provided by The Royal Borough. Together with demonstrated competence in a customer-focused role, a positive, flexible attitude, and excellent team-working skills, you’ll also need to be comfortable in using and learning to use a range of ICT systems.
You’ll be handling everything from arranging a waste collection to dealing with calls from some of the more vulnerable people living in the borough.
